Awesome food some of the best in town! Good service! They are where Pirates Table used to be and unfortunately it still has the same decor but otherwise nice place!

Great lunch prices on the Bento boxes. Brought my 3 children here and not only did they enjoy their food they were given "helpers " for their chop sticks which made the children really enjoy the whole experience. The waitress was friendly and our food was quick to arrive.

I'm going to rate this restaurant based on a regional prospective instead of a nationwide comparison of Japanese food. For Japanese food and Korean food in Rapid City, this is the place to go. I personally have not tried the Japanese food here but the Korean food entree here is very good. The restaurant is nicely decorated and the service here is really good. From what I can say about the Japanese food is that they definitely have a variety of choices. On a side note - nationwide, obviously the Japanese food could be better but their menu here is lacking a lot of traditional Korean food that's out there. Overall: This restaurant should be your general go-to place for Japanese or Korean food in Rapid City.

I had to update this reveiw when I saw my previous comment about the atmosphere! Hana has since changed locations, and is now much bigger and nicely decorated. The food is still excellent, and the service is wonderful.

My family and I have eaten here quite a few times and have always been impressed. Their dishes are not only creative, but well-executed. Beyond the menu, we always look forward to Hana staff's genuine friendliness and attentive hospitality.

A large variety of items with large servings. Interesting decor, not a strip mall shop with some decorations thrown around, this place was built to be a resteraunt. Large parking lot connected to adjoining businesses so a truck with trailer could park for lunch. Much better food than nearby Chinese places.

Yummy! Probably the best place in town to get sushi!! And if you like korean food it's pretty good too, not the best I've ever had but still delicious

Extremely slow service. Food is marginal. There are better sushi restaurants in Rapid City.

This place is really tiny but there is a 8 top sushi bar area and maybe 25 other seats at small tables. Although it is loud from being so small, the staff is quick and the menu is diverse. My husband and I think this is the best place for Rapid City sushi. I had plum wine and two rolls. If you're accustomed to major metro area sushi, this is a bit more Americanized (lots of dairy and bread incorporated into the dishes) but I guess this is necessary in order to stay afloat in a very American town. We will go back to this little joint next time we're visiting SD.

The beef bul-gogi was good and the service and kimchi were great. I'm a fan of Korean food, but will definitely be going back to try the sushi based on the reasonable prices and this trip. Decor and seating is a little 60's/70's steakhouse, but not in a bad way.

For a sushi restaurant so far away from the ocean this place was very good! We had the Monkey Brain Roll, California Roll, VIP Roll, and a Crunchy Roll, plus the bibow (might be spelled wrong) which was beef, rice, vegetables, and an egg on top. All of it was really good! According to the waiters they are moving locations next month. I'm assuming the new place will be bigger.

The best place for sushi in South Dakota!! Everything that I have ever eaten here has been amazing. The fish is always fresh. If you are in Rapid City and you are craving sushi, Hana is the place to go!!

My husband and I live on the other side of the state and have never had Korean food before. When we arrived it was jam-packed with only one tiny 2 person table available. That was fine by us, and they did have a highchair available for our 1-year-old. It took a while for our waitress to acknowledge us but once she did the food arrived quickly and was plentiful! We had so much food we had to play musical plates to keep little toddler arms off of them. By the end of the meal we were stuffed and had plenty of extra food to take back to our hotel for a midnight snack. I wish I could remember what we ordered to make recommendations. Hana was also quite affordable. Best of all the waitress dashed out to our car in January to return the scarf I had forgotten! A note to the owners, if you should ever want to expand come to Sioux Falls. We'll be first in line!

This is THE place for sushi and Korean food in Rapid City. We went at lunch time, and the place was rockin'. The service was quick, and the food was good. If you're expecting mind-blowing sushi, you probably need to try somewhere closer to a coast, but for the midwest, this is really good. The rice was perfect, and the combinations were good. The rolls were manageable size (not the size of rolling pins), and not drowned in mayonnaise - a huge plus. Prices are affordable - plenty of choices in the $5 -$8 range for rolls, and good lunch specials for under $10. Miso soup is only $1 - a great choice for my 4-year-old daughter who had already lunched. My military friends who have lived in Korea say the Bi Bim Bop here is the best in town, and most authentic. My husband and I thought it was very tasty, and better than most places we've tried it. The restaurant is a hole-in-the-wall sort of place - very cozy and inviting interior, but don't blink when you're driving by, or you might miss it. It even includes a couple of Japanese style tables, low to the ground with cushions for sitting. Most of the parking is around back. We will definitely be going back. Love this place.

Best Korean food & best sushi. The service isn't quite as "homey" as it had been in their old location, but the staff is still friendly, the service is still good, and the food is always fantastic, so no need to nit-pick! BEST in Rapid!!

Was very optimistic based on previous reviews, but was a bit disappointed by a couple things. I have had sushi from coast to coast and throughout the majority of the Midwest. The nigiri was excellent and compares to any I have had. Unfortunately, the rolls were created with very sparse amounts of sushi and were predominately vegetables. The wait service was poor to say the least, and if not for the nigiri quality I would have rated Hana at 2 stars. They had 1, yes 1, waitress tending to the entire restaurant when I dined and there was no direction given by management or from the sushi bar.

Great sushi, great selection, fresh actual raw fish not the cooked stuff you see around town. Decent prices for a land locked place. Great atmosphere and cool staff. So far this is the best sushi place in Rapid for serious sushi eaters. The other food on the menu was great to. I had the beef bulgogi and it was tasty.
